A Pair of Louis XVI Candelabra

Pair of two-light candelabra of gilt and patinated bronze and marble. Standing male infants are holding gilt-bronze torcheres in their hands, supported on cylindrical white marble pedestals, which rest on low square marble plinths.

There is one comparative example in the ”Wallace Collection”, London (Inv.: F 152-53), which was acquired by Richard Seymour-Conway, 4th Marquess of Hertford before 1870 for Hertford House.
