Successful decoding of the inscription A.H.I.O.V.N.B

What you see here, is a work of art from the Wunderkammer. We have just recovered this exceptional serving knife in an old Nordic private collection. It is one of the long-lost objects of the Munich ducal art chamber (Kunstkammer) of the 16th Century and its former vaunted treasures.

The fascination of the discovery was followed by the successful decoding of the inscription A.H.I.O.V.N.B: 'Duke Albrecht In Upper And Lower Bavaria'. Now, our piece of Wunderkammer became a vita and the purpose of its creation is decrypted. Because it is a Présentoir and its fascinating cultural history: When serving knife Duke Albrecht V of Bavaria (1528-1579), it will expand the collection of a private or public Kunstkammer fruitful.
