The clock is signed on the dial by the famous Parisian bronzier Ledure and the clockmaker Hedon (almost invisible). Winged Apollo, fully sculpted nude male figure with wings holding a pen and resting against the a rectangular clockcase surmounted with some books and an unfolded document. The case decorated with floral Empire ornaments and medaillons with profile heads of famous greek and roman people, e.g. Ceasar, Kenophon, Pausanias, etc.
